2025 Aquatic Summer Adventure Camps

Registration for Aquatic Science Adventure Camps will be through a new platform called Ideal-Logic. To register for camps, you must first make an Ideal-Logic account. Follow the steps below to create an account.

  1. Go to https://apps.ideal-logic.com/txstreg if setting up account before registration opens. Once registration has opened you can use the direct link for the desired camp to register.
  2. Choose “Texas State SSO” if you have an @txstate.edu email or “Non-Texas State Login” if you have a different email.
  3. Create a new Ideal-Logic account by signing in with Google, Microsoft, or click the “Creating a New Account” link. Note: Once an Ideal-Logic account has been set up, you can log in by entering an email and password.
  4. Select “I am a parent or guardian registering my child or dependent” and click “continue”.
  5. Enter your information. You may receive a one-time code to create a password for your account depending on how you chose to login.
  6. Click the catalog tab at top to search for the desired camp and begin registration.
  7. You will need to create an account to be able to register for a camp.

*All camps are subject to cancellation dependent on enrollment. Activities will be changed or cancelled due to extreme weather conditions. 

2025 Summer Camps, Schedule and Menu:

Overnight Expedition Camps (Registration Deposit-$250) Dive into an adventure like no other!  Join us for experiences like river rafting, scuba diving, and wild cave exploration!  Campers will also engage with our expert staff to delve into scientific investigations related to water. Set on the vibrant Texas State University campus and University Camp, our campers get to explore university spaces and beautiful San Marcos. Camps run from Sunday afternoon to Friday afternoon. Don't miss out on this epic adventure! Total Cost: $1,099.

Explorer Day Camps (Registration Deposit $150)  This is a week of action-packed activities, running from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Campers will conquer the rapids during river rafting, uncover hidden secrets in caves, learn about life in the river, and so much more! Lunch is included every day.  Total Cost: $500.

Nature Adventure Half-Day Camp – (Morning or Afternoon sessions)  Calling all young nature enthusiasts! Nature Adventure Half-Day Camp is tailor-made for curious minds aged 6-8 who crave exploration and adore the outdoors. Get ready for a whirlwind of science and nature activities that are all about fun. Join us as we go critter-hunting, craft new creatures, and embark on exciting outdoor escapades. Camp runs Monday through Friday with two session options: Morning session: 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. or Afternoon session: 12:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sessions are the same, so please only sign up for one. Total Cost: $150.

Essential Eligibility Criteria for Camps

At Aquatic Science Adventure Camp, we consider the needs of each camper to promote success and provide a positive camp experience. All ASAC sessions are conducted in English. If your child has special developmental, emotional, or physical needs or requires another type of assistance, disclosure of special needs will not bar participation. All activities are open to all individuals who meet the following essential eligibility requirements. Please review the following guidelines with your child:

Camper Behavior Requirements

  • Follow camp rules and instructions from camp staff and instructors, especially related to safety.
  • Show respect to all participants, staff, equipment, and nature.
  • Be pleasant to others and refrain from using foul language.
  • Stay with the group.
  • Exhibit appropriate group behavior that doesn't disrupt the flow of teaching and learning.

Health Requirements

  • Have no medical conditions that prevent them from entering a body of natural water (ex. Recent surgery/open wounds).
  • Is able to self-administer any prescription medication or medical interventions they might need. There is no camp nurse. 
  • Many diet restrictions can be accommodated, but please contact us before registering if your child has severe restrictions or allergies (512-245-6176).

Personal Requirements

  • Is able to manage all personal hygiene over a period of multiple days on their own.
  • Is able to sleep in a bunk bed and live in a communal space, without causing undue disruption to others (overnight camps only).

Motor Requirements

  • Is able to walk up to a mile carrying a backpack.
  • Is able to perform gross motor functions and fine motor functions with reasonable guidance.
  • Is comfortable in and around water and either knows how to swim or is willing to wear a life jacket.
